First Taste – Pledge Zander Vol.1

Of course, Zander had seen the guys around campus in their Beta Beta Pi shirts. They were always incredibly attractive. There were all kinds of rumors about what went on behind closed doors, and initiations were far more intense than at any other fraternity. Who could tell how much was true and how much was just gossip fueled by the jealousy of those who couldn’t get in? No one was talking, least of all the Brothers.

But Zander wanted in. He was willing to face initiation. At least he thought he was. As excited as he was, it was also scary. But he really didn’t think he had what it took. These guys were the best of the best. Then, one afternoon, lying in bed in the glow of a Grindr date, his partner turned and said, “Dude, do you know about Beta Beta Pi? You should apply.”

The interview was difficult. And awkward. Zander wasn’t sure what the right answers should be. But before he left, one of his interrogators took a picture of him. Two days later, he received a message: “Knock on the fraternity basement door Friday night at 9 p.m. Don’t be late.” Zander arrived right on time. He entered a pitch-black room. Three of the most attractive guys he’d ever seen were sitting on a platform.

The group leader said, “Ready to prove you belong? Tonight you’re ours.” It was either the best night of Zander’s life, or his worst nightmare.
